As Chairperson of the City of Little Rock’s Sustainability Commission, Brenner is proud to represent stakeholders in the Arkansas sustainasphere. He is also a proponent of a revitalized Main Street in Little Rock, Arkansas, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Arkansas Reparatory Theatre, and on the Main Street Revitalization Committee of the Downtown Little Rock Partnership.
Brenner is also an experienced litigator, trial attorney, and appellate advocate. He brings a diverse experience to his representation of clients and regularly advises and represents national corporations in connection with employment issues, including ERISA investigations by the U.S. Department of Labor, products liability defense, landlord/tenant disputes, health care law, complex civil, corporate, and business disputes, and litigation involving breach of contract, trade secrets, breach of fiduciary duty, civil conspiracy, tortuous interference with business expectancy and contract and other business torts, and the Arkansas Deceptive Trade Practices Act. A significant, and equally important part of Brenner's practice involves providing clients with general strategic, corporate, and securities advice and assistance with negotiations and complex transactions such as asset purchase agreements and internal investigations.
Brenner received his law degree from the University of California at Davis School of Law in 2000, where he was recognized as a public interest scholar. He is a member of the Arkansas, California, and Pulaski County Bar Associations. He is a former Counselor for the Henry Woods American Inn of Court. Mr. Brenner is a member of the Arkansas Bar Association special committees for Lawyers Assisting Military Personnel, Judicial Nominations, and Uniform Laws, and is a member of the American Bar Association committees for Energy Litigation, Commercial & Business Litigation and Health Law. He is listed in Chambers USA as a “Leader” in the field of General Commercial Litigation and in Mid-South Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” in the areas of Health Care, Business Litigation and Personal Injury Defense: Products.
Brenner is also honored to sit occasionally as a Special Judge for the Little Rock District Court.
When he is not practicing law, Brenner practices delta blues, country blues, and Americana music. He competed at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee, in February 2009 and 2012, and has performed at venues around Arkansas, including the Hot Springs Blues Festival and the King Biscuit Blues Festival. Some Saturday mornings during the spring and summer months he can often be found performing at the Little Rock Farmer’s Market.
